Well folks... I finally did it. After months of research I finally bought a JD 790 (4wd) with a 72" finishing mower! I'm ready to cut some and sow some grass! It's being delivered tomorrow. MY FIRST TRACTOR!

Thanks to all on this website. It's been very helpful as I know very little about tractors but your posts have been very helpful!

Tomorrow afternoon I'm on my way to the local Agri-Supply dealer to drop some cash on a box blade, landscape rake, seeder and road blade for my new house being built in the country!

Congrats Deeeno,

I am really enjoying the 4710 I purchased a couple of months ago. It is amaizing what these tractors will do. I am sure it would do even more in the hands of someone who was experienced in the proper way to approach a job... I look forward to finding out :-)

Take some pictures of your unit when it is delivered, I didn't get that done and really wish I had.

Have fun....

Deeeno,

Congratulations on your purchase! Make sure to read the entire manual and follow the directions. Tractors are fun but also can be dangerous and put you in situations that test your metal. I'm sure everyone has stories about pushing the tractor a little too far...

You will find that seat time is one of the best times for figuring out all your problems.

John ....
